Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I log in to my account? I have placed orders with Banks before but am now unable to log in.

In early 2012, we upgraded the Support Center ordering system with our new Customer Portal. If this is your first time using the new portal, please take a moment to register. Both existing customers and new customers must register for the Customer Portal.

Do not use capital letters when entering your email address. Please use all lower case.

How do I create a new password after registering?

Once registered, you will receive an automated email containing a hyperlink. This hyperlink is your temporary password. Click on the hyperlink and it will take you into the Customer Portal where you will be instructed to create a new password.

How do I reset my password if I have forgotten it?

Simply click “Forgot your password?” and you will receive an email containing a hyperlink. Click the hyperlink. This takes you into the Customer Portal where you will be instructed to create a new password.

I registered for the Customer Portal and created a password but am still unable to log in.

Verify that the email address you’re using matches the email address you used to register. If your email address has changed since you originally registered for the Customer Portal, please contact us and we will manually update your account information.

When mapping my site in Step 1 of the ordering process, why won’t the system accept my latitude/longitude coordinates?

Lat/long coordinates must be entered in decimal degrees format. Letters are not permitted. Degrees symbols and apostrophes are not permitted. Convert coordinates here.

Correct Latitude: 29.755025
Correct Longitude: -95.361288

Incorrect Latitude: 29°45’18.09″N
Incorrect Longitude: 95°21’40.637″W

How do I move my site location after it has been mapped?

For a point, simply click on the red location marker and drag it to wherever you like. The coordinates will update to the new location.

For a line, click on the point that you would like to modify and drag it to the new location. Note: You will see your original point location still present on the map after you have moved the point. If you zoom in or out, the original point will disappear and the new location is then saved.

For a polygon, click on the point that you would like to modify and drag it to the new location. Note: You will see your original point location still present on the map after you have moved the point. If you zoom in or out, the original point will disappear and the new location is then saved

When mapping a polygon, can I click inside a boundary I have mapped?

You cannot click inside your site boundary. However, you can add a point by clicking on the map (outside of the boundary) and then dragging it inside your site boundary.

I know that I can map my site using a single point, a line, or a polygon, but how do I switch from one method to the other?

If you originally mapped your site as a point and want to switch it to a line or a polygon, simply click on the line or polygon button and your point will disappear. Now that the point is gone, continue clicking on the map until you have finished mapping your line or polygon.

Why does it say “custom price” when I select certain products?

Some products are custom quoted, such as polygon (area) and linear searches. Feel free to complete the ordering process and request a custom quote if needed before proceeding with the work. In the final step of the ordering process there is a Notes box that allows you to enter in any custom request, provide additional information, or request quotes.
