Feature Product of the Month: Large GIS Map Production Service

Banks Information Solutions, Inc. has the ability to produce large scale wall maps or digital maps up to 42 inches wide by up to 10 feet long for sites that cover many square miles. Sites such as large industrial facilities, large ranches, long pipelines, proposed highway routes and many others may require large maps such as these.

Maps can be for decorative purposes or for analysis. Our maps have been used by clients working in a variety of industries ranging from the Oil & Gas to Environmental to different Real Estate sectors.

Banks can also obtain historical aerial photos from different decades that cover a large area and geo-reference them into a set of “seamless” images representing each decade. Then each of these “seamless” images can be printed with a multitude of data layers overlaid on it so that our clients can analyze certain site characteristics such as vegetation development, erosion, building development, etc. to determine what has happened over time.

Topographic maps, aerial images or a street map can be used as a base map for any project.

Recently we have produced maps for a client in the Oil & Gas industry which enabled our client to analyze where specific shipments of product were coming from and going to. The ability to analyze this data in a geographic way helped our client choose the best location for a new facility that will help maximize his new business and profits.
